Once in a while I jump ahead and write a scene if it's in my head and store it for later use, but most of the time I just keep moving forward, even if it is only a few hundred words. Some of these authors on the sites amaze me with consistently writing 5k words or more a day. I'm luck to pound out 2 or 3k.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13732623574428439912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169078819691058551.post-78603105350577216652013-11-21T19:24:52.345-05:002013-11-21T19:24:52.345-05:00Skye, It's interesting to me how writers appro...Skye, It's interesting to me how writers approach their craft. Some, as you suggest, begin with Chapter One and forge onward from there. Others outline then go back and fill in the story. I write in scenes then weave them together into a cohesive story as the plot develops--like a movie is filmed. I have read books that were just sex from start to finish and they were boring. All the hot sex in the world won't make it a good story - you have to have likable characters and something going on to keep the reader's interest. I hope the Golden Dolphin series does that. - Skye Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13732623574428439912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169078819691058551.post-4153159191245983302013-11-21T14:17:47.637-05:002013-11-21T14:17:47.637-05:00This sounds intriguing, Skye. I do that often - just start typing with a basic idea and see where it goes. Wishing you the best of luck, I'm sure it will be a hit.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10005215075724810989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169078819691058551.post-81271594131912037812013-11-21T08:27:40.244-05:002013-11-21T08:27:40.244-05:00I've taken several cruises, but nothing like t...I've taken several cruises, but nothing like these. Cassandra in Cassandras Revenge saw her old boyfriend on the deck while having drinks! They were both in for a surprise. The yacht definitely keeps things interesting. Next up is a cruise to Alaska (Pandora's Box) and then Central America (Hannalore's Treasure). You and I could sit on the deck with our pina coladas on Skye's yacht and find characters for our next stories. :)Rose Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04429566802562925080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169078819691058551.post-86476038620849832342013-11-21T06:32:09.199-05:002013-11-21T06:32:09.199-05:00Great series, Skye.
