This is a fun sexy romance. Cody has been married twice with a pack of children from those marriages. DeeDee has been devoted to her career as a fashion designer. She's met Cody, and opened her own bridal design business on Main Street.

“You've seen my closet. I want to see yours.”
DeeDee swung her arm wide. “Go ahead and look.”
Cody walked past her and into her closet. “This is it? How do you look so good all the time?”
“Accessories. Now out!”
He laughed. “When do I get to see your clothes fall off?”
“Maybe never. Furthermore, I'm nothing near wifey number two.”
“Thank goodness or I would have left town.” He grabbed her shoulders and planted a quick kiss on her lips. “You are so much better.”
She ducked into her generous closet, closed the door, then quickly changed her shirt and her heels. “I want to go back and see the windows. I want to see what Julia's done. She's doing the windows in our new bridal colors.”
He raised his eyebrows.
“Bridal dresses tend to be traditionally white or ivory. I have tints of colors such as green, pink, yellow, blue, purple, etc. But I've also designed dresses that are white with bodices that contain colored embroidery and beading. It's exciting to see women embracing these new colors. Yet it still gives them the white-gown effect.”
“I really don’t care about bridal gowns. When do I get to see you naked?”
“Never. Let’s check the salon windows.”

From my Regency novel, Dangerous Deceit by Romy Gemmell.

Lydia stared in the mirror at the surprisingly elegant figure she made. The taffeta was of palest green, simple yet fashionable, with short puffed sleeves, a low rounded neckline and a graceful skirt that fell from a high waist. Lydia admired the shade she had chosen with the help of her mother’s dressmaker. It was a welcome change from the colourless gowns of the past two years when she’d just come out, and she saw how the auburn lights in her thick dark hair now seemed more noticeable...

...Smoothing on her long silk gloves, Lydia hung her velvet reticule from her wrist and arranged the silken shawl across her shoulders. She was ready to face the mêlée at this latest of the season’s balls. As she descended the wide, sweeping staircase, she felt unaccustomedly shy and blamed her brother for asking Lord Sheldon to accompany her to the ball.

Seems like every time Derek sees Elly, she's a mess! In this
scene from BLUEBONNETS FOR ELLY, she's cleaning out her grandmother's storage shed and she definitely does not look her best.

Elly took a deep breath and smoothed her T-shirt. That action left streaks of dirt down its front, adding to the grime already there. She’d started out the morning in sweatshirt and jeans, but as the day warmed and her physical activity increased, she’d pared down to T-shirt and cutoffs. Now she wished she’d dressed a little better. She wore not a smidgen of makeup, not even lipstick. She’d pulled her hair back into a ponytail and tied it with a shoelace hours before, and she knew it probably stuck out like a bouquet of thistles by now.

Karin works undercover in a strip club...

Removing her costume from her locker, Karin stripped to the waist and put on a black leather bra. Bending over, she shook the bra so the fullest part of her breasts settled in. The bra pushed them together, creating deep cleavage. Stripping from the waist down, she was just stepping into a black lace thong when Dana spoke.

"You'd better do something with the bush over that puss of yours, hon. Your bikini wax is good, but you don't want the middle part of your hair slipping out while you're dancing. It's not professional. When I danced in Vegas, they taught us to twist it and tuck it between our lips down there. If you don't want to trim it, try that."

Karin tried to keep a smile off her face. Dana had probably read that in a magazine. She'd seen Dana dance and doubted she'd ever danced in Las Vegas, unless it was off the strip in a crummy place like this one. And professional? The light outside might advertise exotic dancing, but these women were just plain pole dancers.

Still, it wasn't a bad suggestion. Karin reached to try it, but Lettie was eyeing her too closely, so she stepped into the bathroom to finish dressing. One thing she didn't want was for the girl to start getting ideas about her. The twist of hair felt erotic between her folds, and she reminded herself that, despite the winking sign outside, they were expected to be erotic dancers.

That she wasn't too good at it crossed her mind, and it wasn't the first time.

Over her thong went a leather skirt short enough to give teasing exposure of her butt cheeks when she danced. She pulled on knee-high, leather boots with three-inch heels.

Murder Upon a Midnight Clear. by Juli D. Revezzo (Paranormal romantic suspense)

Helene checked herself in her rearview mirror, dragging a hand through her hair. She pinched her cheeks for good measure, and scraped her teeth across her lips. It would do in lieu of makeup.
The door opened before she reached for the buzzer, the bells on the Christmas wreath jingling from the disturbance. Sean stood before her in jeans, and a flannel shirt buttoned by only three buttons, oozing his signature sexy charm.
She cleared her throat, hoping to tamp the attraction down. He seemed anxious about something.

His Claimed Bride

Happy New Year On Another Earth

A Flash-Scene Erotic Romance Novel

~83~

Sylva carefully applied the moss green shimmery eye shadow. Picking up the tiny case with the wand-like brush, she coated her eyelashes with the sooty brown color. There had been no black. After thinking about it, she'd concluded it was probably because the lighting was different on this Earth. At least, it was in his family's in-town place. And from what she'd seen of the restaurant on the communication screen. Less harsh. Not as bright. Scrutinizing her face, she wondered which lip cream to use. She eyed the gown again and chose the one closest in color, dabbing it on.

~~~
Zeke stepped out of the rapid-cleanse ion booth, fully clothed in his evening garments. He'd shaved again, and cologned himself to entice her womanly senses. Impatient, he strode toward her dressing room to peek inside. Instead, the door opened, and she stood before him, the gown loosely covering her. "Ready?" he asked, admiring her beauty, especially the swells of her breasts. "Lace me up, cowboy." She whirled around for him. "I need some elbow room, darlin'." Lifting her up by the waist he carried her inside, and set her down. He gathered up the cording, easily positioned it, then pulled.
Sylva marveled at his ability to the tighten the gown perfectly. "When," she called back to him. With a gentle firmness he tied the lacings. "Where did you learn that skill?" she asked. "Never mind." He chuckled deeply. "Mostly on my sister. She made me practice, since mother or one the help wasn't always around when she wanted to play dress-up. Once it finally knocked my into skull like a lightning bolt, that it could be a real useful skill, I never complained again about helping her." He smoothed his palms over her bare shoulders possessively. His warm lips followed.
From: “Silk Legacy” by Richard Brawer. Sarah is going to a secret rendezvous with her new man.
Sarah wore a stunning afternoon dress of Copenhagen blue charmeuse. Trimmed in moiré, it had a semi-tailored waist and a smart batiste collar. In need of a new spring outfit for special occasions, Sarah had sewn it herself two weeks ago. The stores sold dresses like it for thirty dollars. She had made it for ten. It had taken her six months to save that money from her assistant teaching job.
When she stood in front of her mirror today, examining her craftsmanship, she had almost broken out in tears as she stared at her bland straw bonnet. She had longed to buy a new spring French Sailor with a wide brim and loads of silk flowers, but she couldn’t afford that type of millenary. Even if she could afford the hat, her parents would have chastised her for her frivolity. Grabbing her sewing basket from her boudoir, she had retrieved the strips of fabric left over from making the dress and trimmed her straw hat.
Her original design called also for gloves, but when she her saw her old scuffed shoes, she had opted to buy oxfords instead. In keeping with her practical upbringing, she rationalized, it was spring, not fall or winter. She wore gloves to keep her hands warm, not to make a silly fashion statement.
After she had re-pinned her decorated straw bonnet to her head and surveyed herself one last time, she wished she had bought the hat instead of the shoes. Only the tips of her new oxfords protruded from the hem of her dress, but her hat still looked out of place. Able to do nothing about it now, she slipped out her bedroom door, hoping to escape the house without her mother seeing her…
