From Midwinter Masquerade by Romy Gemmell - Scottish-set Regency novel (still on special offer at 99c (77p) just now!

Edward and his black horse were off at the gallop, and Lenora scarcely had to urge Snowflake on, as the mare set off in pursuit. Lenora gripped the reins firmly and adjusted her seat slightly, her natural ability in the saddle reasserting itself. Soon, she was flying past fields and trees exulting in the cold wind on her face and the
unaccustomed exercise, delighted to be catching up on Edward.

The Captain and The Countess
London 1706

“Captain Howard advanced toward the countess, conscious of the sound of his footsteps on the wooden floor, the muted noise of coaches and drays through the closed windows and, from the fireplace, the crackle of burning logs which relieved the chill of early spring.

“How do you do, sir,” the countess said when he stood before her, “I think we have not met previously. My name is Sinclair, Katherine Sinclair; I dislike formality so you may call me Kate.”
“Captain Howard at your service,” he replied, shocked but amused by boldness more suited to a tavern wench than a great lady.”

If you have time please visit my website where you can watch the book trailer, read the first three chapters and read some of the reviews.

"What belonged to Jessie and Clare belonged to the Indians, too. Jessie and Clare tried very hard and willingly gave, but the Indians also took from them. There were a lot of Indians that didn't want the white man and didn't like their fences. Read that diary again, not as an idealistic teen, but as a grown woman."

Her men. Hers.

The reality that she belonged to both of them slammed into her awareness, yet quickly became lost. Zance molded the swells of her hips and ass with his make-her-putty hands.
