First Impressions

release date 9/23/15 The Wild Rose Press

“Yes?” His tongue skimmed her jaw, traveled down to her collarbone and licked her right between the notch of her shoulder and neck.
Her moan, hot and sensual, filled him with joy.
“Pat.”

“Right here.” Moving his hands from her waist, he glided up her sides and cupped her naked breasts through her tee. He rubbed his thumbs across her hard and swollen nipples and was rewarded doubly when she gasped and pushed closer into his hands.
“Clarissa,” he whispered into her hair. “Do you like this?”
Softly, so he wouldn’t hurt her, he squeezed each breast in his palm, pushing them up together.
“Yes,” she said on a sigh.
“And this? Do you like this?” His mouth moved to her forehead and planted sweet, slow, wet kisses across her closed eyes.
“Y-yes.”
“Mmmm. How about this?” He ground his pelvis into her, giving her no doubt about how excited and mad for her he was.
“Oh, God, yes. Pat, I—”
He stopped, pulled back and looked at her. Her skin was flushed, her mouth wet, the bottom lip plump where she’d bitten it, and her chest practically heaved with each breath. “What did you want to ask me, Clarissa? You know you can ask me anything, tell me anything, right? I told you so once before. So tell me what you want, sweetheart.”
Without hesitating for a moment she said, “You. Only you.”
“Thank God.”

I forgot this was 200 words, so I chose 7 sentences instead. No matter. I think the mood comes through ... right after Rory confesses a childhood nightmare to his lover Alex in HUNTER'S POINT.
~
When they kissed, it was almost like the first time … in that dimly lit Ramada Inn, two strangers drawn by need, astonished and grateful and already in the grip of something beyond lust. For at least the second time today, Alex felt tears sting his eyes. How could someone slam into his heart so hard he was almost suffocated with emotion?

As often as he and Rory had explored each other’s mouths, something had changed. Was it his lover’s halting search with his tongue, or his own discovery of clefts and grooves under Rory’s close beard, places he’d never tested before? He was in no hurry to turn over and spread his ass, even though his cock was weeping with need. And Rory, usually the dominant one in this gargantuan bed, seemed almost reticent, content to lie in a close embrace and allow him to take the lead.

His shaft swelled at the compliment, swelled and ached. He tugged his tunic off. “My rod will fit just fine. I have great faith in that.”

Her eyes had darkened as she stared at his chest. “You’ve many scars, too many. You’ve suffered great pain.”

“None more than I suffer at this moment.”

He shoved off his braies and freed his cock, which he was sure had never been as hard or as long as it was now. She gaped at the size of it, but couldn’t take her gaze away. That pleased him even more. He took his length in one hand, stroked it once, and caught the heat in her eyes. “I cannot wait much longer to slide inside you, wife.”

“Can…can I touch it?” She reached for him, but hesitated.

“Aye,” he choked out the word. He hoped he wouldn’t disgrace himself at the touch of her hand. When she still hesitated, he took her hand and wrapped it around him.

From The Aphrodite Touch - first novella in the Aphrodite and Adonis series set on the island of Cyprus. Romance and mythology! Carla doesn't know who 'Donas' really is:

Donas caught her in his arms and raised her half out of the water. She glanced into his confident blue eyes and, without a will of her own, Carla rested her head against his smooth chest. It was such a sensation of safety that she could have remained there forever.

She realized he had carried her back to shallower water. Gently standing her on her feet, Donas reached out a hand and smoothed her hair. Hardly daring to breath as their bodies touched, Carla stared into his eyes and time stood still. Then his lips replaced his hand, tracing the lightest trail of kisses down to her bare neck. She almost cried out in pleasure at his touch and all thought ceased. Every part of her body was in an agony of desire as she longed for his lips to claim her mouth.

“We must return to the others, sweet child.”

His words drifted to her from far away. “Must we?” she whispered.

At the sound of her own words, Carla’s eyes flew open and she gasped. What on earth was she doing with this stranger, when her beloved man must hardly be any distance away? How could she?

One kiss upon the soft, exposed skin made her sigh. He moved his fingers across her shoulders toward her neck, tracing the graceful lines. When he lifted his hand, she shivered in delight and tilted her head, so he continued.

“Sweet Trudy.”

Taking her right hand, he pressed the palm to his lips and flicked his tongue along her palm. Her chin lifted. Her eyes closed in bliss as his mouth moved toward her other shoulder. His tongue swirled around the depression of her inner elbow. “Logan.” She heaved a sigh. He paused as her hand fell away and the dress gaped loose. He reached out and touched the other strap. Her eyes opened. She stared at him as it slipped down her arm. Coy, wanting, she watched him as the dress flowed from her frame to pool at her feet, revealing a lace bra and matching thong of crimson lace.

One word and only one came to Logan's mind. “Beautiful.”

Prince Charming Wore Spurs is available at Smashwords, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble in both print and ebook.

from A Question of Honor
Devin isn't a romantic sort of guy, he just knows he wants Sydney in his life, whatever it takes.

“Yes, I’m hard.” Devin’s voice rumbled under her ear, and his breath stirred her scalp. “I’ve been so hard for you, for so long, I’ve come to think of it as a natural state of being. No, I’m not going to do anything about it. Not tonight. Not now, at any rate. You just get back to snuggling up against me and making those sweet noises.”
Sydney raised her head, striving to regain control of her mental faculties. She could barely make out his features in the dim light filtering through the windows. “Very good. Is that some kind of line you’ve developed to soothe nervous females?”
First the body beneath her became very still. Then she was rocked violently as Devin roared with laughter. His brawny arms encompassed her, holding her against him in an embrace that could have been painful, but wasn’t.
“Do you always enjoy tormenting your men in bed?”
She hesitated, considering the question. “No, I don’t think so. But I don’t have any men.”
“Not now, of course,” he said with a broad streak of arrogance. “But surely you’ve had one or two lovers since…” His voice trailed off as Sydney shook her head slowly, in the negative. “Nothing since your husband? Why the hell not?”

First look at SIN CITY ALIBI
by Sophia Ryan
Coming out this month

Her boss is dead. She was the last one to see him alive. Her only salvation is her Sin City Alibi.

“Since I met you,” Matt said, “the blood supply to my brain has taken a hard detour south.”

“South?” Dani asked.

He stood. The massive tent in his boxer briefs drew her gaze, and she stood mesmerized as he slowly pulled them down. His cock bounced free of the waistband and pointed directly at her, as if saying you’re mine.

Heat rushed through her body as she pictured him filling her pussy with that…masterpiece. She licked her suddenly parched lips. “I did that, huh?”

He eliminated the boxers and sat on the edge of the bed again, legs spread, cock standing at perfect attention up by his belly. “Yep. All you,” he said, his thumb and finger stroking the bulbous tip.

She slid her hands into the sides of her panties and slowly lowered them past her hips, her ass, her thighs, her legs. They pooled around her feet, and she easily stepped out of them.

Fully naked, fully aroused, she stood before him, arms at her sides, her nipples so hard they hurt, the ache low in her belly growing stronger as her eyes caressed every inch of the fully naked, fully aroused man in front of her. “I do good work.”

Her skin was soft and slicked with rain. Drops clung to her wide, full mouth. He couldn’t draw his gaze from her lips. Knew he shouldn’t let the lure of her unhappiness and pheromones get to him, but he lapsed.
And leaned in.
Brushed his lips across hers.
Her eyes opened wide, and she stared into his. Curiosity replaced the surprise.
He pulled back, but kept his hand cradling her jaw. He smiled. It had been a long time since he’d locked lips with someone so innocent. Her emotions swam in her eyes. Uncertainty, curiosity, longing. Her lips remained partially open accommodating her rapid breathing.
Tino drew her face to his. “Do you wish another kiss?” He stared into her eyes, felt the racing of her pulse where his hand rested under her jawline and the puffs of her warm breath on his lips.
“Yes…” Her eyes fluttered closed and she leaned closer.
He chuckled, marveling at how easily she could be seduced. The thought also soured his disposition. Would she be this easy for someone else? Say Dr. Martin? Or a drug lord?

Hope you enjoy this snippet from Still the One, a Romantic Comedy available at most ebook sellers including Amazon Kindle: http://amzn.com/B005062SLS

Burke's pulse raced like a quarter horse pounding the track. Ally smiled, and Burke stared at the tiny dimple that peeked out from the corner of her mouth. He remembered kissing that dimple. Suddenly, the only thing he wanted was to kiss it again. What was between them couldn't be over. Not if he still felt this need, this hunger for her.

Whatever had drawn them together still smoldered between them. At that realization, time seemed to stop for an instant. When it started again, his heart pounded at double speed because he just knew he was going to yield to the wild impulses that Ally incited in him.

Still the One is on sale Aug. 10 - Aug. 14 for only 99 cents at all ebook sellers.

Thanks for reading!

This is the opening of DREAM OF ME, a reincarnation romance set in Egypt with elements of suspense, action/adventure, and humor.
Just published on Amazon Kindle
(I love the hero on the cover of this one!)

He came to her from the shadows, mist still clinging to his form and obscuring his features so that only his deeply penetrating eyes were distinguishable. This time they were blue, an arresting blue like pale crystal shot with fire.

A familiar love for him swelled and filled her with an inner glow. She smiled and held out her arms to him. He brushed her temple with his lips, and then kissed her softly. His presence cloaked her in a surreal splendor as their spirits blended, like two souls meshing into one to form a timeless unity. When he drew back, she was filled with sadness and a wrenching longing to hold on to him forever.

She sensed his smile, an ephemeral flood of warmth that spread through her like sunlight. As he placed a pendant around her neck, a magnificent golden falcon suspended on a gold chain, his features seemed to materialize, forming high cheekbones and a strong jaw.

“It’s time,” he whispered. “Come to me. Come to me.” The words echoed in the mist as he disappeared among vague stone shapes in the shadows.

Nice. Mine is sweet, rather than erotic: the first kiss scene from Candle's Christmas Chair. He has just proposed, and she has told him she will think about it.

And then she pressed her sweet lips to his and he was lost. With a groan he enfolded her in his arms, slid his hands up behind her head, and deepened the kiss.

It could have been a minute; it could have been months. Time ceased to exist as he explored her mouth and she followed his lead. Her tentative movements, bold and shy at the same time, intoxicated him and he was conscious of nothing but the burning need to sink into her softness. Until a piece of gravel on the path turned as he shifted his knee, and dug into his skin.

He drew away from her with a groan.

Had he done that? Her lips were swollen and red, a sleeve was pulled down baring her shoulder, and one glorious breast was nearly tipped out of her dress. Another nudge, and he’d see...

He blinked, and shook the idea out of his head. “Min, my own dearest love.” He had to be calm. She looked as dazed as he felt. Probably more so, given her innocence. If his world was shaken, hers must be reeling.

“I would help you put yourself to rights, beloved. But I don’t dare touch you.”
