THE PASSION OF A MARQUESS
by Linda Rae Sande
RTReviewSource
Although Sande’s novel seems to follow the usual romance tropes at first, the characters elevate it to something more, making this a delightful and unexpected page-turner. The romance grows gradually, although not without its obstacles, which keeps the pages moving briskly to a satisfying conclusion. Little details of life in upper-class British society are nice touches. Readers of the previous novels will be rewarded with mentions of their favorite characters.

VIKING FIRE
by Andrea R. Cooper
Sweet Reviews

Kaireen is an Irish woman who lives in 856 CE where Vikings pillage the lands. She is the last of her sisters to marry and is stated to be lucky to marry at all with her being in her twenties and too old for some men. Her father has arranged for her to be married to Bram a foreigner and also a Viking. Kaireen despises the man and tries anything she can to get out of the marriage, but when the perfect opportunity arises and he becomes wounded while fighting for her land, her heart can’t let him die. Will she marry this man? Will the unforeseen darkness take them before a marriage can occur? Read it!

I enjoyed reading this book. Usually I get lost in books that authors try to explain in olden times, but there are a fair few that suck you in and you can’t put down. This is one of them! Kaireen is a strong minded woman who believes marriage should be for love and not allies, but she also longs to have a true, honest husband that only loves her. My favorite scene has to be the bath house.

Erin @ Goodreads

What a fun, hot read by Michelle Roth. Again her sense of humor shows through in her characters. That hot chemistry between her two main characters is once again prominent throughout the book. I love the new deceptive series and look forward to the next one. If you are looking for a quick, hot read then this is the one to read. I can't wait for the next one in the series!!!

Warm Hearts in Winter
By Helen Pollard
Lizanne Lloyd - Lost in a Book blog

Warm Hearts in Winter is exactly what you want to read while curled up in front of a warm fire as the nights get shorter and yet I read it lying on a sunbed in southern Europe with just as much pleasure . . . Helen Pollard engages her readers by allowing us to see events through the eyes of both main characters and describing their location effectively. I very much enjoyed reading this lovely story."

(5 stars) I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down. It was the perfect vampire romance their love was addicting. I just could not stop reading I had to force myself to put it down and go to sleep. Sarah meets a gorgeous guy in a bar who saves her from a serial killer. She doesnt know who saved her when she woke up safe in her car. Her ex husband is an abusive jerk who wont let her go. Another mystery person is out to get either her or John her love interest. John is determined to save her and keep her as his now how to tell her what he is... this book is so well written. That girl is put through some tough times for sure. There is an interesting side character, perry, the vampire, johns friend who just adds to the story. It keeps you guessing. Definitely buy this book its great! Going to look for more from this author. I was looking for the perfect vampire romance and this was it for me!

This review is from Belinda Williams Books for my small town romance FIRST AND AGAIN:

First and Again is an engaging read, filled with rich and interesting characters. They were believable and readable because of their flaws, and the challenges each of them faced. The reader easily becomes absorbed as the characters travel a journey that leads them closer to each other, and I loved the underlying message of family and the importance of relying on others to succeed…Jana Richards weaves a story that is heart-felt and it offers a depth many authors fail to achieve. She also infuses friendship and light-hearted humour, which leaves you with the feeling that you genuinely know and will miss the characters once you put the book down.

Dangerous Deceit by Romy Gemmell - British Regency intrigue

A young woman of marriageable age chafing at society's restrictions becomes entangled in a web of intrigue as Napoleon continues to wage war against Britain. No one is as they seem in this lusciously detailed Regency story. Lydia Hetherington meets Marcus, Lord Sheldon in the most embarrassing way possible: falling off her horse. But Lydia is far less delicate than her mother thinks she should be, and she not only handles the situation with aplomb, she decides Lord Sheldon couldn't possibly be as foppish as he pretends. She's right, of course, but while earning his respect and admiration, Lydia puts herself in peril more than once.

This is a delicious escape into the past and Ms. Gemmell fills it with wonderful historical touches, from the descriptions of Regency fashions and accessories to the complexities of observing the social niceties with not-so-nice aristocrats. Secondary characters provide glimpses into less affluent lives as well. All in all, a lovely read, recommended for all ages.

My newest review comes from my latest medieval romance release, A Knight To Call My Own by Sherry Ewing

"Lynet has waited to for six years for Ian to return but after a heartbreaking letter she knows she needs to move on. Then her brother-in-law, tired of waiting for her to choose another decides to hold a competition for her hand. Ian finds out that he is now a laird and in need of a wife. Ian thinks he just needs to collect Lynet but now he must contend with rivals and Lynet herself to win back her heart.

This book was written so well and I'm so happy that we got to find out what happened with Lynet and Ian from If My Heart Could See You. I just loved Lynet and Ian and really wanted to see them have their HEA. Of course the author doesn't make it easy and there is plenty of laughter, heartache, and action along the way. The plot was action packed with many characters to love and hate. It was very easy to connect with Lynet, she is so caring, strong, and the right amount of feisty. Ian was the perfect amount of sexy, stubborn, and honorable even if there were sometimes I just shook my head lol. Small WARNING do not read this book in the doctor’s office unless you don't mind strange looks for crying. The one scene is done so well that you can just see it happening in slow motion in your head. NO cliffhanger and has a HEA.

Medieval Historical Romance with some great steam - I can't wait for her next book and I will read this one again!"

Review for A Baron for Becky

Jude Knight's heroines are unique, and because of that her story lines are not cliched and that's why I like her books. Her original characters have depths, flaws and motivations that we, as readers, see in ourselves and others. There are complexities and surprises in each of her books. The man you expect to be the hero, isn't. The woman who should be grateful, without guile, or helpless, isn't. Attraction evolves from respect. This book has a lovely HEA that is more real than fairy-tale. Read it and learn to see men and women for their humanity. There's something to be learned here as well as enjoy - a wonderfully written and developed novel.

"My Mom and I swap good books, and when I received this one in the mail, I put it in the lineup. When I got to it, I couldn't put it down and read it in two days. It was that good! Character development was phenomenal, and her ability to paint the scene was tremendous, I could almost taste the salt in the air and feel the sand between my toes. The mystery had me intrigued, and you just had to know what was on the next page. Pick it up, I'm starting her next one 'Caught in the Spin' as soon as I receive it from Amazon! Love new writers, their stories are never the same."

A Long Trail Rolling by Lizzi Tremayne
From Amazon: 5 stars… Pony Express as it really was! by Lyn on October 1, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
I love horses and the old west and knew I would enjoy this book – but it was different from most other western historicals I’ve read. Apart from having a tender romance at its core, it is full of intriguing and fascinating facts woven in with the fiction. Lizzi Tremayne obviously knows what she is talking about, her extensive research and knowledge make this almost like reading an exciting documentary – except that the characters are so well drawn the reader can’t help but relate to them and suffer with them on their journey, especially Alex herself. I love the way the horses are also characters in their own right. As a horse lover myself I was pleased that Aleks really cared about the horses she rode, and the description of each horse makes them come to life – especially Scout the black ‘Appy’. I used to know a black Appaloosa stallion, and Scout could have been modeled on him. As might be expected from an author who has the equestrian and veterinary experience and qualifications Liz has, the details about the horses, their tack and treatment of wounds etc., were convincingly written with an air of authenticity that made the story totally believable. This book is full of surprises and even the villain is not quite what he seems. The story kept me guessing all the way. Would Aleksandra and Xavier ever get past their respective hang-ups and learn to trust each other and give in to their growing attraction? Who exactly was Vladimir and what was the secret Aleks was so desperately trying to keep him from finding? These and others are answered at the end and most of the answers I didn’t see coming. The historical details, not just about the Pony Express and the Indian Wars, but Russia and Poland as well, were fascinating, and the novel conveyed the different cultures and nationalities that made up the Old West at that time.

Liz Tremayne writes convincingly, and paints vivid pictures of the characters, terrain and the horses. My only complaint is that the ending came rather suddenly, although that’s not to say the ends weren’t all neatly tied up, they were, but somehow I expected – or wanted – just a bit more. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Once you enter the world of Destiny, with all its interesting Paramortal characters, you will never want to leave.

This was a great book! I didn’t want it to end. Once you enter the world of Destiny, with all its interesting Paramortal characters, you will never want to leave. I loved the main character, Tempest Pomeroy, who is a tempestaerie, a storm witch, trying to find out about her family as she solves the disappearance of her brother with the help of new sheriff in town Jack (laser) Lang. The author does a terrific job of capturing the southern Louisiana coulture. This book delivers the perfect combination of suspense and fantasy with romance. Can’t wait for the next one!
