Stellar Reviews #Reviews

We all know great reviews validate the story crafting we do. Single sentence reviews can say a lot, but sometimes we'd like to share more. That's exactly what this Tuesday meme is all about. In comments, share up to 200 words from a terrific review. It doesn't matter how much time has passed. All reviews are new to someone.

Our brand new release, Poetry of Love: The Engagement Year, got its first review and we're thrilled!

"Poetry of Love: The Engagement Year Book is a wonderful love letter from an adoring man to the woman he is planning to marry. Filled with heart-felt poems, one for each day of the engagement, it catalogs all the feelings leading up to the big day and beyond. Clearly love grows as the couple goes through the trials and tribulations, as life progresses. NN Light leaves nothing out, from crippling expenses, to missing someone desperately, good days and bad days are all representing in simple prose and meaningful verse. A wonderful gift for an engaged couple, this books spells out those intense feeling from passion to despair, building both expectation and promise for the wonderful milestone to come.
I received a copy of this book for an honest review."

“I must admit, I hadn’t heard of the author before and my expectations of the book were pretty low. I had no idea that I would be sucked in and completely absorbed with it for two days until I finished it! I fell in love with the characters flaws and all!…I found this book to be a great read. The author really drew me in and is an amazing story teller.”

Radio Rose-Funny and romantic with a seasoning of aliens.
I really enjoyed this book. Funny, quirky characters as well as a hot cowboy makes for a page turning read. The opening chapter is brilliant! Highly recommend this one.

Hi there EQ, I have a new book out 10 days ago, but there are two five star reviews. One is by a lady called Marjorette who says of Courting the Countess by Anne Stenhouse:
Lady Melissa Pateley has been disfigured in a house fire several months before this story begins. Just prior to that she was widowed and now she is at the mercy of a dastardly lawyer who wants her fortune for himself. Enter Colonel Harry Gunn with the soothing ointments he’s developed to treat injuries on the battlefield and his desire to protect Melissa from unwanted attentions. Melissa can’t help but fall for tall, fair-haired, handsome Harry but when he finds out a family secret their burgeoning relationship is in jeopardy. A kind of Beauty and the Beast story with a twist, Courting the Countess held my attention to the very last word, with its heroine gallantly coping with all that life has thrown at her, and a hero whose attempts to help her are sometimes bungling which make him all the more endearing – set against the backdrop of beautiful Regency Edinburgh.

For The Highland Lass - Scotland in the present and past!

A touching story of love; explored in its many forms, as Eilidh re-connects with her childhood friends and estranged family during her search for answers in her mother country. The interconnected themes of love and loss across generations added depth to Eilidh’s contemporary story and her deepening affection for the charming Lewis Grant.

The snippets of Burns’ poetry and the fictionalised account of his lesser known romance with Highland Mary set this book apart from your average romance and added poignancy to the plot. The beauty of Scotland is evoked wonderfully throughout Eilidh’s exploration into her past and is a perfect backdrop for many ‘ae fond kiss’.
