Enchanted Skye ~by Rose Anderson
Here Alex feels the charm upon him -- a charm that will end his life if Jenna doesn't return his love.
That odd sensation settled in Alex’s chest again as if his heart had an extra beat. Though his back was to her, with his Selkie perception, he could feel Jenna’s eyes upon him.

This Sunday Snippet is from "The Girl Not Forgotten" one story in my biography true crime anthology, "Twisted Love".

Jake said he felt his fear for his missing daughter, turning to anger
at this arrogant, non-caring person who took his dilemma with a grain of salt. He again asked her to allow him to make an official report. She said “no exceptions,” then closed the window. The desperate father turned and left.

From Regency novel, Dangerous deceit by Romy Gemmell:

Yet, his nearness to her now and her reaction to it was proof that Lord Sheldon was wrong in one way at least. Lydia had changed. Never in her life had she wanted to be held and embraced by a man as she did when walking beside him, aware of the strength of his arm and the delicious disquiet of his presence.

Jareth: First Lord--coming in September

Tall and broad-shouldered, every inch a warrior lord, the handsome man of thirty-something rode as if born in the saddle. Dark as night, with his black hair blown by the wind, Lord Jareth’s eyes were twin pools of darkness beneath his angry frown. Hard as iron and cold as the icy winter winds, his presence was unsettling.

"He lifted the stone of her necklace and where his fingers touched her skin she felt as if on flame. He pulled her close again and she felt the raw power in him, the strong virile energy of the man. God help her, she found him as attractive as he was intimidating."

Recently Released historical romance- Staking Claim - Book Two in the Halsey Homecoming trilogy.

Commotion down a street to his left caught Colin’s attention. A young woman, dressed too nice to be walking the side streets alone, had three men taunting her.
Colin gripped the handle of his canvas Gladstone and shifted his direction, striding down the street toward the woman and men.

And, leaving him with his amusement, I took myself off to some mindless workshop on Conservation. Better that than Conversation.

A HEAT OF THE MOMENT THING, a romantic comedy with plenty of sizzle.
