From Injury:
Dani and her date walked out the door, and Cope fought the urge to run after them. He wasn’t sure what he’d do if he caught up to them. It was a tossup between grabbing Dani and kissing her until her knees buckled or slugging the date in the face until his knees buckled. What if the bastard was taking Dani back to his place?

Visual Effects:
“Are you this touchy with everyone or am I getting special treatment?”
She shot him a withering look. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
Jesse scratched the side of his head, tilting it slightly as he watched her. “Believe me, I don’t feel at all flattered. You’re damn hard on the old ego.”
Drey rolled her eyes, shaking her head. “So, tell me, if I start hanging adoringly off your every word, will you get bored and run in the opposite direction?”
He grinned. “I might. Then again, I might not. Why don’t we give it a shot and see how it plays out?”

“You ride and take care of the cattle with the men?” he asked.
She could tell by his tone, he didn’t like the idea.

For St. Patrick's Day, a clip from FAMILY MATTERS, where the heroine comes from a large and eccentric Irish family:

The smooth-talking lawyer had been outtalked—and outfoxed—by a couple of small-town seniors. Evidently, the knowledge didn’t sit too well with him. A slow burn of color crept across his cheekbones.

Kerry’s hand suddenly itched for a pencil and her sketchpad.

From my upcoming book (first in a new series!) FINDERS KEEPERS:

She wondered if he knew that she knew he was putting on an act. She wondered if he knew that she knew that he knew she was, too. And she wondered if she had any aspirin in her purse, because that train of thought was giving her a headache.
