From An Imperfect Match Dare to Dream 2
A conversation between Claire and Marcus:
“He didn’t say anything. He didn’t express any desire to see me
again, so of course, I couldn’t express any desire to see him again,” she informed him logically.
“No, of course you couldn’t,” he agreed in the tone of voice that
someone would use if they were trying to placate a crazy person.

From Honeybun on the Run, my brand new romantic suspense!

Somewhere out there, beyond the current nightmare she was living through, life and love thrived. Clovis’s kiss was a promise…it was a taste of what could be in that normal, healthy future.

But it was more than that. It was a lifeline that she had only to reach out and grasp.

A snippet from My Mr. Manny

Even though I loved living in Southern California, I still missed my Boston home and wished I could have had my extended family, my mother, and pseudo-siblings with me to experience this new life. I went back home to visit my mom as much as I could and always squeezed in a visit with my aunts, uncles, and cousins while I was there. The longer I remained in California, however, the more what my dad had told me when I moved made sense: even if I went back, my old life would no longer be mine.

From DREAM STUDENT - poor Sara's got herself quite the hangover...

I need aspirin. And then I need to vomit. And then I need to die. That might not be the right order.

First kiss from Viking Fire - historical romance w/ a touch of magic

His kiss became gentle and sparked a craving inside her for more. His mouth opened, offering her to taste secrets within. She slackened against him as his tongue played across her lips, stroking them and numbing her thoughts.

Lily's Summer Cowboy:

Although Brigit had longer to process her feelings than Lily, the woman was caught in her pain, seemingly unable to move forward.
Was she moving forward?
The thought startled her.

Her Midnight Stardust Cowboys ~ Chapter Thirty

...Sherilyn frowned as the vision formed, so similar to the one she'd had earlier at Dante's Fashion Emporium. When the shroud of blackness hit full force, she felt damn glad to be sitting down.

Sherilyn halted in mid-stroke, her hand resting on her rabbit's silky fur. "He's trapped."

A short snippet from my Regency romance, Lady Elinor's Escape:

She remembered Aunt Sarah’s pistol and promptly made up her mind. Stephen Chaplin was undoubtedly the lesser of two evils.

“Very well, sir, I accept your escort.”

I mustn’t go down that oh-too-familiar road yet again, because I was better than that . . . right?

Screw Matt for making me doubt myself.

But screw me more, because really, the only person who could make me doubt myself was me.
