LE ME LOVE YOU

Oliver stepped behind her and placed his hands on her hips.
“I like the colour of your eyes,” he whispered as their eyes met in the mirror.
Tamara was touched by the honesty of his words, and a smile tugged at her lips. But a shiver ran through her when he buried his face in the curve of her neck, his lips caressing her nape. She tilted
her head back, leaning into him. All the nerve endings in her body were on full alert. She had no idea what it was about him that made her let go of all her fears and worries.

DREAM DOCTOR (book 2 of the Dream Series)

It’s almost funny, except it isn’t at all. I haven’t had any of these dreams in a year and a half, not since “it” happened – except one time, last summer. When Brian was dreaming about me, and I saw it. But that was the only time.

Talk about luck. Of all the times for this to start back up, for my brain to start picking up signals again, it has to be the night before my wedding.

Currently #31 in Free Best Sellers in Lesbian Romance

My God, he's a heavenly specimen, his deeply tanned skin contrasts with lake blue eyes and thick black hair held back at the nape of his neck with a leather strip. His lips are firmly sculpted and his jaw juts strongly--Jesus. Dressed very casually, his dark blue T-shirt hugs his shoulders and chest tightly, hiding absolutely none of his very impressive muscles and flat belly.

I don't usually like the muscle-bound type, but for him I'll make an exception. Of course maybe he's not interested in women. Many men who look as gorgeous as he does are gay, but his piercing gaze doesn't say gay. Those blue eyes deepen in arousal and he gifts me with the sweetest come hither smile I'd ever seen.

From American Victorian romance novella, The Physician's Irish Lady

A loud growl rose from her gut. Her lips quivered into the semblance of a smile. “Just a wee bit hungry, ’tis all. I’ll be fine.”

Elliot frowned. “Tell me, when did you last eat?”

“I—ah, I can’t be sure.”

From the beginning of my romance novel THE DEVIL AND DANNA WEBSTER:

When my mother talked about Lori, she always got a funny look in her eye — not ha-ha funny but strange funny. When I was little, I never understood. As I got older, I wondered more about Lori, but I hardly ever asked because it just seemed to make my mother sad.
Lori was locked away in my mother's past life like the things in the old attic trunk. I wondered about them too. But Mom would always say when I asked her to open the trunk that the past was best forgotten. Yet, every now and then, I would say something or do something that made her sigh and exclaim: "You remind me so much of Lori!"

The Adonis Touch by Romy Gemmell

Lying beside the pool, while their skin dried enough to replace their light clothing, Adonis watched a butterfly rest on the plant beside his love. Stretching out his arm, he remained very still until it alighted on his finger. Each colourful marking made up a complete work of art, and he marvelled at the changes such a beautiful creature endured to become one capable of flight.
“You see, even much of nature renews itself, as you do, my love.” Aphrodite watched lazily as the butterfly flew off into the surrounding foliage.
“Hush.” Adonis held a finger to his lips. “It is time to dress, for I think our visitors are almost upon us.”

Daisy's Dilemma Anne Stenhouse

“Stephens, can someone assist Miss Howie.”
“Don’t worry about me, Lady Daisy,” the girl said, but relinquished a leather grip, two books, a stone hot water pig and a paper wrapper that looked to hold the remains of some bread, when the butler came closer. Daisy watched in fascinated horror while Stephens transferred the haul to a footman. She heard a step coming smartly along the garden passage behind her, Reuben, and saw the smile light Elspeth’s violet eyes when she recognised him.
“Why, it’s cousin Reuben.” Elspeth unwound a shawl from her shoulders and another from around her waist. She allowed a maid to catch them as they slid floor-wards. “I didn’t know you were staying, too.”

Vlad Dracula, patriarch of the Guardian Vampires, tells about his early blood-lust to a young friend, Gary Logan:

It was a very long time ago; we were fighting what you would call “an asymmetrical war” against Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror and his Muslim invaders who outnumbered us at least three to one. I was looking for anything to slow them down. I guess you would say I used psychological warfare by building the “forest” of impaled enemy soldiers and others defeated in previous battles. While we had numerous successes against units of the invaders we were unable to hold off so large an invading army. It was about this time I was changed into what I am today.

I was always in the front lines of battle and routinely soaked in blood. Perhaps that is what changed me into a vampire.

“I think we’re going down,” she managed through tight lips.
He raised an eyebrow. “Here?”
“We’re crashing, you idiot!”
The plane plunged and dipped again. Brooklyn screamed. Teagan might have, too. She was too scared to know for sure.

Caught in Cross Seas by Sharleen Scott
romantic suspense/mystery

“So, where are you?”
Clay knew Tom was serious. They’d gone a lot of rounds over the years and he knew the guy wouldn’t give up. Today the threat was a Playgirl photo; tomorrow it could be a commercial with him dressed as a wiener and singing a ballad to a bologna sandwich. Or worse, a participant in one of those TV reality shows. But Tom’s perseverance and dedication were the reasons he handled Clay’s security. No one gained access to Clay’s Nashville ranch without Tom knowing it. He also rode roughshod over Clay’s life if he thought Clay was doing something stupid. Like today. Clay laughed and shook his head. Unless he wanted to be the next centerfold or wearing a wiener costume, he’d better cooperate. When Harv and Tom ganged up on him, it was usually best to go along. “Oregon,” he said, tempted to toss the phone in the ocean and end the conversation right there.

Crystal Creek Christmas Book 2 of the Crystal Creek Series

The child’s wool jacket was slippery with snow, and the unconscious form slid through Dr. Jake Whitloch's arms. He shifted the limp body and held it close.
His hand pressed a pillowy soft shape. He jerked upright. The stirring within heated him like a hot numbness that made him want to dive into the snow to cool off.
In his arms was no child. In his arms, he held a woman.

Extract from my forthcoming novel - SCOTCH ON THE ROCKS -

At this time of year the tide came in faster than a man could walk, and her tyres squished in the shallow water which splashed up the sides of her Mini. Holding her nerve, she gripped the steering wheel, switched the headlights onto full beam and peered into the descending dusk. If she got stuck half way across and was forced to abandon her new car or – worse still, call out the coastguard to rescue her from an ill-timed attempt to cross to Eilean na Sgairbh, she’d never live it down.

Hope to publish in July - in the meantime, here's a link to my amazon page - http://tinyurl.com/mpcv6bn

HER MIDNIGHT STARDUST COWBOYS, a ShapeShifter Seductions Presents Novel

Silence weighed heavily between them, and Dontoya rubbed his chin, deep in thought. There had to be an answer--whether from the ancient manuscripts of his people, the knowledge of other shamans, or by tuning into his inner Spirit.

The troubling question, would he find the answer in time?

"Any good news?" Zance asked, his tone more subdued than Dontoya had heard for over a decade.

"Yeah, pard. Even if Othalya activates that construct from hell's ass, as long as we're with Sherilyn, she can't be taken. The vortex isn't strong enough to penetrate our natural protective force around our her as our mate."

La Déesse Noire: The Black Goddess

As Kali sang slow, ancient ballads of tenderness and yearning, twisting her limbs in the steps of the mujra, she allowed the drape of the sari to drift over his legs, his shoulders, his face, his throat, never following with the weight of her flesh. She slid her skin, even her fingertips, only against the cool water of the loose, translucent silk, but kept herself between Rook and the few candles lighting the room, so he could always see the outline of her slender form, sinuously inviting his touch, moving away any time his hands twitched.

She lifted her knee and bared foot over his shoulder and shook the bangles circling her trim ankle, leaving him to envision her inner thighs behind his head, still never touching his fevered body. He couldn’t help his mouth moving to taste the smooth skin of her calf, inhaling the scent of sandalwood, the trace of jungle rain. Her sharp intake of breath was like food to him, though she quickly moved to tantalize from a few feet away.

She hummed the haunting melody as she removed each pin from her hair, letting them drop onto the Turkish carpet, arms drawn up, full breasts and hardened nipples moving with each breath beneath the silk. Not one strand of her coiffure fell out of place until the entire thick length dropped to her waist like an ell of heavy satin.

A clip from A Rancher of Her Own, book 2 in The Hitching Post Hotel series, debuting July 2015 and up for pre-order:

Jane gave a throaty chuckle that yanked his attention back to her. The sound seemed to echo in the cavernous barn…and to rattle something deep inside him.

“C’mon, girl," she said to the mare, "let’s see the profile.”

“That’ll be the day when you can get her to pay attention,” he said with a grin, trying to shake off his reaction to her.

“I pity the animals you work with, if that’s your attitude toward them.”

His grin slid away. “And what are you, a horse whisperer?”

A BARON FOR BECKY

Before she had finished, Aldridge was calculating his next move.

The pistol was next to useless. Good enough to execute the child, but against at least four men, maybe more?

“I don’t suppose you have a sword or another gun in that seat of yours?”

She shook her head.

It would have to be his tongue, then. Well, many a woman had called it his finest weapon.
