Review clip for WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS from Viviane Crystal

. What is even more endearing within the plot are the cultural portions of the novel that describe dances, parties and more about Scotland. The author excels here and makes the reader want to visit this island to partake of its quaint customs and food. That and the beautiful descriptions of the land on Mull Island and the views of the Abbey and more are intriguing and appealing. Joan Fleming is a romance writer for sure and one who has a unique flair for her homeland Scotland. Nicely crafted romance, indeed!

Skater's Waltz
By Peggy Jaeger

5 stars "I’m so glad I set aside an entire evening to read this book. Ms. Jaeger skillfully drew me into the lives of figure skater Tiffany Lennox and roving journalist Cole Greer and kept me hooked until the end (well beyond the midnight hour). An excellent storyteller, Ms. Jaeger excels at descriptive detail and smooth-flowing dialogue.

Next, please!"

HUNTER'S POINT, book 3 of the M/M Nevada Highlander Series. Review by a reader named "Bo." I love this review!

"... a rough riding, deeply personal, violently nasty adventure, plus an exquisite love story for our time, if not for the ages.

"Let's get something straight (oops!) from the start: Ms. Quinn has an almost completely unique ability capture the ground, and eras, of all her books, whether in early 20th Century Ireland, Dark Ages Ireland and Britain, contemporary western United States and Scotland."

"This plotline is wicked, filled with evil, engrossing, and redeeming all at once. But through it all, our tall and broad and handsome and hot and completely oversexed protagonists find new meaning in the meanings of life and love. They are a pair for the ages, and this book has the potential to spin off at least one, and possibly two, characters into a series of their own if Ms. Quinn wants to light another match. Poof!"

For The Highland Lass by Rosemary Gemmell

This finely layered novel evokes place with vivid realism, both in contemporary Scotland and in the past, with a compelling parallel story featuring Scottish poet Robert Burns and his “highland lass” Mary Campbell. As Eilidh searches down the clues to her own heritage, she also delves into the historical records of Burns and Campbell, teasing out a seemingly innocuous link between the two Campbell families.

Helping Eilidh with this task is her “cute meet” crush, history professor Lewis. Delicate echoes of the Burns and Campbell romance resonate for the contemporary couple, making those 18th Century chapters even more poignant. I’d not heard the story of Mary Campbell and Robert Burns, and this novelistic retelling is so splendidly wrought it could stand on its own, yet adds delicious foreshadowing to the Eilidh and Lewis plot.

Lewis is an intriguing character, both charming and mysterious, and readers, knowing how the tale of Burns and Campbell ends, will anxiously anticipate the unfolding of Eilidh and Lewis’s love. Yet there’s more: the primary reason Eilidh has traveled across the pond. Her initial goal was to find her father. Author Rosemary Gemmell does not disappoint, delivering a masterful and deeply poignant resolution.

am I glad I read this one
ByTapnchicaon May 6, 2015
I had never read any of Daryl Devore's books and man, am I glad I read this one! Peyton is the guy we all want and Fuchsia is a girl who is not giving up on her dreams. When the two collide, everything is turned upside down and the result is hot, but also laugh out loud funny. I will definitely have to read more of Devore's books!

The delightfully named, Pepperpot, left a five star review of my latest historical romance from MuseItUp, Daisy's Dilemma.

Daisy's Dilemma.
I enjoyed reading this Regency novel although it's not the sort of novel I would normally read. It followed the fortunes of a young woman, Daisy and her growing attraction to her cousin even though she is mostly in denal about it. She get into scrapes and there are twists and turns which keep the narrative flowing and the wit sparkling. I enjoyed the setting and the the drama and was able to visualise the period due to the well researched writing.

Daisy's Dilemma is widely available. Here's amazon US http://goo.gl/K40ptD abd UK http://goo.gl/iMFFVu Kobo https://goo.gl/U15E3h

PLAYING THE GAME by Stephanie Queen
Roxanne Monet is a woman with a whole lot of problems: she's lost her job, she's broke, her ex-mother-in-law is convinced she's a murderer, and the one thing she is truly passionate about, her volunteer fundraising work for a children's hospital, is in jeopardy. Barry Dennis is a superstar basketball player for the Celtics who can think about only one thing: being the absolute best at what he does. There's no room in his life for anyone else, and that includes his daughter, Lindy. Roxanne and Barry's game of seduction will leave you frustrated and angry at times, yet begging for more. If you want cookie-cutter, quasi-perfect heroines, and noble heroes who do the right thing, this is not your book. Like Rhett and Scarlett, Barry and Roxy are flawed characters with real, serious obstacles to overcome on their personal journeys before they can be together in a meaningful way. The book is all the better because of this. The scenes at the Children's Hospital will move you to tears, I promise. There are twists and turns to keep you guessing right up until the end how these two can possibly resolve their personal problems and the conflict between them, and you'll be so relieved when they do! I can't recommend this book highly enough.

About Hatchlings Curse

This is a very unique story with a truly exceptional plot. The beginning of the tale drags a bit, but builds up to an action-packed chronicle that leaves the reader sitting on the edge of their seat, wondering what will happen next. … Any fantasy lover would enjoy this epic tale! 4 Stars
