SKATER'S WALTZ
by Peggy Jaeger

I am usually drawn to historical fiction, but I found this book so well written, that I have already devoured the second novel and am anxiously awaiting the 3rd installment. I actually read this in one sitting as really enjoyed the mystery woven into the story, and couldn't put it down."

A RANCHER'S WOMAN

Don't let the word 'historical' put you off. These are men and women who jump off the page, a wild west story where right and wrong were strongly delineated, and where the starvation of Indians confined to reservations was sadly common in winter. If you enjoy a novel where the author develops characters, and the characters learn as they experience life, you will not be disappointed. This the BEST historical novel I have read in a long time. I love it because it treats the Crow Nation as individuals, which of course they were. And at its heart it the story of one woman's duty to her parents' choices for her, and her choices for three young orphans. A total joy to read!

A review for Book Three, For the Win:

I fell into reading the fist book of the City Lights book series and I'm so very happy I did! It is a wonderful series and love love all the main characters in these series from Fox and Laura, Lee and Elizabeth to Ric and Lindsay. All of them are wonderful and I'm looking forward to continuing to read about them and other characters! Thank you so much Lily!

This review was for Book 3, For the Win. The first book of this linked series kicks off with No Strings Attached, which you can find at Amazon and other ebook retailers. Find Lily Bishop online at http://LilyBishop.com.

A short review: BURNS TOO DEEP, a gay fantasy novella, by "Fifi," a UK reader. I like the way it nicely sums up the story and mentions the backdrop of previous work:

Nevada Highlander series is a favourite of my so this 'spin off' was a real treat. Erin O'Quinn has gifted us with a beautiful, sensual and original story. Her two main characters are both complex men but she uses her poetic style to lead us through their journey and leaves us gasping for breath at the conclusion. The combination of hot sex, deep emotion and intense action unravels against the familiar setting of the previous two books and of course the references to Alex and Rory sets pulses racing both on and off the pages! I enjoyed this immensely and look forward to future work from this author.

5 star review for When Double Becomes Single by Charmaine Gordon

Quick, Easy, and Delightful

By Joanne Guidoccio on September 1, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase

Ms. Gordon has written a novel that tugs at the heartstrings. From start to finish, I found myself rooting for Sharon Michaels, the lovable protagonist, who succeeds in inspiring and motivating not only widows and widowers, but anyone who is experiencing an empty nest, divorce, retirement, or other unexpected change of circumstances.

After the death of her beloved husband, Sharon grieves deeply but finds the inner strength to begin her healing journey. As she embarks on a series of adventures, her life becomes a whirlwind, filled with new people and delightful experiences. At one point, a prolific “senior” author makes a cameo appearance, adding to the inspirational tone of the novel.

Well done, Ms. Gordon! This is a book I read in one sitting and simply couldn’t put down.

Available in all eformats and Amazon and B&B paperbacks

I'm sharing a reader review from my debut release, CHASING AVA. This is book 1 in the Bachelors of Shell Cove series.

An emotional rollercoaster combined with fiery heat and a dose of humour! A Must Read New Author!

By Aphrodite's Reviews on March 30, 2015
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase

Chasing Ava is a contemporary multicultural and medical romance based in Shell Cove, Florida. The story follows the life of nurse Ava Walters and Dr. Logan Masters. Ava's character is well-developed, and a person can relate to the pain she has experienced from a past relationship and how that affects her views of any potential relationships. Logan endears himself with Ava by taking the time to get to know her and in a non-threatening environment. Ava is eventually able to mend her shattered heart, but there are a few twists and turns in the storyline to keep a person guessing what her next move will be. The book has the perfect amount of emotional empathy and fiery heat. I can't wait to read the next book in the Shell Cove Series.

CHASING AVA is on sale for #99cents. CONVINCING LINA, book 2 in the series is Available Now.

The price of scorn
By By Beverly Ross on August 27, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
Wow! Who would've ever thought to feel sorry for a woman so mean and evil that you just wanted to hit her! Or that something bad would happen to her because of how bad and mean she was!! Then just when you really hate her you find out what happened to make her the way she was and omg! You feel so sorry for her and come to understand even if you can't condone her actions you see why she is the way she is! This book was extremely well written and emotionally up and down ! Excellent writing!! I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review!! I heartily recommend this book to everyone ! The whole series is awesome ! But this book deserves 10 stars!! Kae Elle Wheeler this one is just so good I don't even have the words to describe how awesome it was!!

Temporarily Employed, a romantic comedy mystery

4 stars. Temporarily Employed is a quirky blend of romance and adventure, and features a sharply insightful heroine. Author Vicki Batman whisks the reader off into a heady monologue from the very first page, and never lets them go. The plot follows the misadventures of an unemployed singleton who inadvertently stumbles onto a scheme that involves fraud and murder.

There’s a poignancy simmering just beneath the surface of this novel. The perfect job and the perfect relationship are held up as the obvious goals. Yet what are actually needed are good friends and a caring family – because no one is ever really perfect, and bad things generally happen when they are least expected. A prevailing message is that everyone makes mistakes but that this is alright, as long as no one actually dies.

The conclusion to the novel is managed well. There are no easy answers in life, and some events require distance to be properly resolved. Self-care is shown to be the key to achieving true happiness, and that is certainly a healthy outlook to endorse.

Jareth, First Lord--Esperance Book 1. Fantasy Romance

"I have been a fan of Mellie Miller since I read Gambler's Folley, so it was a no brainer that I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Jareth First Lord! Viviane is a character I can relate to. Her heart is torn between her past and her present. Jareth is also torn because he is dealing with his past. They both learn to love again. Great job Mellie!"

4 stars from InD'Tale Magazine for science fiction romance!

“My Name is A’yen” is expansive science fiction epic. Ms. Smith draws the reader into a new world very quickly while explaining the intricacies of society along the way. A’yen, while young, has a man’s maturity and natural reserve. Farran is an intelligent researcher, who is not only interested in her work, but in the mystery presented in her newly purchased guard. Ms. Smith does a wonderful job showing the developing relationship between the two characters. The budding relationship had an organic feel to it. The pacing in the book kept both the action and plot line moving. The imagery of the different planets added to the richness of the reading experience.

“My Name is A’yen” is a brilliant start to a sci-fi series with a romantic twist!"

Free Pass by Allie Kincheloe

... is one of those just one more chapter books.

Throughout this page-turning adventure, I was able to delve into the thoughts and feelings of the characters. I was as surprised as Laney when Austin, the cheater boyfriend, suggests she fool around with whoever she wants for two weeks. Yep, I had to read just one more chapter to see if she'd snap up this free pass, or stab Austin with a pencil again. (Yep, this girl is not one to hold back.)

Not only does Laney take up the 'free pass', but she chooses someone she didn't consider—at first. She also didn't consider the fact that anyone could make her feel so…so damn happy. As a perfect twist, the man she is attracted to is her boyfriend's older brother, Jake. Yep, another page turner. And another…I read it from start to finish in one sitting.

The relationships are tastefully written and told with sweet, steamy, and sometimes heart-wrenching emotion. To balance the story, the author injected Laney's inner dialogue, peppered with humor and a dash of sarcasm.

There is a certain realization which peeks through Laney's discontent and confusion, an ends the story with personal growth with satisfying finesse.
