DARK SPLENDOR Historical Gothic Romance by Andrea Parnell

Buy: amzn.to/1oMDNCG
Blog: http://andreaparnell.com/?page_id=13

I highly recommend this book! I started by falling in love with the characters in Andrea Parnell's short 'Dark Prelude' as it was free for my Kindle. It is not required for the story as everything is blended in but if you want a quick taste before reading the whole story you'll find you have to know more!

This isn't your usual romance novel, it's full of twists and mystery but of course there is still plenty of sexual tension for you hard core romance readers. Andrea Parnell's writing will take you to another place in another time. You wont be disappointed, this author has definitely been added to my 'must read' list!

More Than A Billionaire
Book 6 in the Sherbrookes of Newport Series might be one of my favorites (although it's hard to top the story of Callie in "The Teacher's Billionaire").
In "More Than a Billionaire", we learn the story of Greyson Sherbrooke, who on the surface everyone believes is the quintessential playboy. Little do they know it is just a cover for something much bigger.... Upon his return for a wedding, he is reaquainted with a childhood friend, Keira, and the sparks burn hot. Grey tries over and over to prove himself worthy (I would have taken him the first time!) until finally, Keira has to decide if he is worth it after all. Will she or won't she??? Read it to find out...you won't be disappointed!!

Destiny's Plan On sale now
'Destiny's Plan' by Victoria Saccenti is a classic Romance novel, beautifully written and realized by this obviously talented author. Set in the depths of the Vietnam War years (1967-69), the story within is as old as time; star-crossed lovers who fall in love at first sight, soul connections and love triangles; separation, perilous trials and a satisfying and unexpected resolution. All can be found in this tale and lovers of this genre will be enthralled. There is also more than a small nod to the classics, with echos of both Shakespeare (Romeo & Juliet) and classic Castellan romantic tales throughout the plot.
Our story opens as we are witness to the flight of Isabel Muro and her two young daughters, the seventeen year old Raquelita (Raquel) and her young sister Marite from their father Emilio's horse ranch in Texas. Emilio and Isabel's marriage has collapsed and Isabel is escaping with her daughters to Florida, via a long bus ride. As the author states, "It is on these rare, unintended occasions when paths cross, lives intersect, and the Fates intervene" So it happens that a young soldier, Matthew Buchanan, is also on the bus - on his way from Texas to Fort Benning, Georgia to join the Army and serve in the Vietnam War. The bus is crowded and Raquelita ends up seated next to the handsome Matthew. They experience an immediate connection which blossoms over the course of the journey to full-blown love. On this circumstance the entirety of the story hinges and though their bond is put through torturous trials and strained almost to the brink of destruction it is their love, pure and strong, that carries them and indeed the reader through to the interesting and tension filled conclusion.
I gave this story a rating of four stars, though it was very close to 4.5 out of five. The story lost some points for its somewhat overwrought and overly complicated plotting as well as an unexplained and frankly unnecessary supernatural overtone. That said this is a warm, exciting and rewarding tale and any romance fan will enjoy it immensely. This story would be rated somewhat high on the heat scale as there are several explicit sexual scenes and adult situations involving drug abuse and violence toward women. Certainly written for a more mature audience.

The Coin by Maria Alonso-Sierra
The Coin is a romantic thriller set in the French Riviera. Filled with beautiful scenery, the story is narrated in the third person omniscient point of view, giving the reader full access to everyone's mind, but with an important twist that adds to the suspense. I enjoyed how the main characters' relationship evolves during the harrowing experience they are put through and how they grow during the story. I particularly liked the ending, and I'm looking forward to reading what's in store next for our Gabriela.

A recent review of COWBOYS AND KILTS by a reader named Greebo:
~
Wow. Just wow.

"Cowboys and Kilts" has a little bit of everything. You want strong Alpha men? You got it! Sweeping landscapes? They're there! Interesting history? Check! A bit of the paranormal? Yep! A beautifully written love story between the aforementioned strong Alpha men? Oh...YES!

…”Cowboys and Kilts" is mysterious and exciting. It's sexy and romantic. It's a [novella], but just so...epic. The descriptions of the scenery are expansive and sweeping. I felt like I was on that bus tour, and it left me Googling parts of Scotland that I never knew existed. I don't want to give anything else away. I want you to buy this book. You won't be sorry. I highly recommend it.

Planting the Seeds of Love: A Novella

A sweet, clean romance featuring a woman caught between two worlds - the small-town farm she inherits from her grandfather, and the big city she has moved to. Each comes with its own romantic interest: a childhood friend for the former; a fellow student who adores her for the latter.

The writing is impeccable, the pacing perfect, the heroes easy to identify with and care for, and the story a welcome change from the usual "good boy vs bad boy" tale. In this novella, no choice is perfect, and that only adds to its charm.

A perfect read, even for a reader like me - someone who doesn't normally read romances.

Viking Fire - Book 1 - Historical Romance

Kaireen is a young Irish woman who lives in 856 CE where dragons, fairies and Vikings still bless the lands and pillage all the same. Her father has arranged for her to be married to Bram a foreigner and also a Viking. Kaireen despises the man and tries anything she can to get out of the marriage, but when the perfect opportunity arises and he becomes wounded while fighting for her land, her heart can’t let him die. Will she marry this man? Will the unforeseen darkness take them before a marriage can occur? Read it!

I enjoyed reading this book. Usually I get lost in books that authors try to explain in olden times, but there are a fair few that suck you in and you can’t put down. This is one of them! Kaireen is a strong minded woman who believes marriage should be for love and not allies, but she also longs to have a true, honest husband that only loves her. My favorite scene has to be the bath house.

Some Enchanted Autumn by Linda Andrews

"...an unusual deviation from traditional romantic suspense. Linda Andrews has devised an original plot that encompasses humor and some unusual paranormal elements. The plot moves along with just enough action and mishaps to keep the reader guessing." -- Fallen Angel Reviews

Comments on books 1 & 2 of my 3 book adult "Immortal Relations" series http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G & http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 :

"Being a bit of a vampire-phile, I find myself constantly searching for the next vampire series to reach out and grab, or, more appropriately, bite me. I believe I have found my holy grail of vampire novels. You see, the Vlad books are typically a bit gory for my tastes, while the Twilight series is campy, sophomoric, and I feel, is most appealing to teenage girls. Mr. Ogan has delivered a tale at breakneck speed, one that jumps out of the starting gate and never loses steam. A tale filled with life lessons, love, sex, action and adventure. Complete with new insights into the powers of the immortal vamps, and fresh takes on the complex inner workings of their existence. From page 1 until the very end, Immortal Relations promises to have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more..."
This one is for my second book in the series, “Immortal Relations, Love and War” and was left on my BlogSpot http://immortalrelations.blogspot.com/ :
"Immortal Relations is NOT just another vampire story! An unusual blend of vampire fantasy, world politics, and political statement in defense of human civil freedoms, this book is a quick read that takes you through the story as a voyeur of one man's extraordinary imagination. You will not predict the outcome of this story, nor do you want to, as you sit back and let the story unfold insights into human nature, vampire nature, and the unusual relationship between the two. Looking forward to reading book three as the crescendo of poetic license plays itself out on a global scale. Thanks for an enjoyable read! "

Daisy's Dilemma by Anne Stenhouse A great new five star review appeared on amazon UK http://goo.gl/iMFFVu amazon US http://goo.gl/K40ptD

By Kindle customer:
Verified Purchase

I had previously read both Mariah's Marriage and Bella's Betrothal. Daisy's Dilemma was another good read picking up the delightfully convoluted fortunes of Daisy, sister of the hero of Mariah's Marriage. The story of her chequered path to true love is told with pace and humour but is also skilfully interwoven with a darker plot full of intrigue centred round the family of Daisy's cousin, Elspeth. At the start of the book, Daisy is still a young girl whose vivid imagination and lack of exposure to the wider world leads her to imagine all sorts of mysteries about her cousin Reuben, who is a very satisfactory and dashing hero.

I usually don't read fantasy story, but this book immediately hooks me from the start. I can't stop reading it. I love this book because it teaches you about the true meaning of inner beauty and appearance is not everything. The other thing is that people are unexpected. Don't judge the book by its cover.
I would rate this book for 5.5 out of 5!!!
You will love the adventure, the thrill and the world of fantasy.

The reviews for A Baron for Becky continue to be mostly 5 star. This is the latest one on Amazon US:

Well written with interesting plot twists

I must admit, I greatly enjoyed this book. At first I thought that Becky and the Merry Marquis were destined for true love, but then there was an interesting plot twist. Instead she ends up marrying his good friend the Baron Overton who is devastated from the loss of his wife and baby. Happily everything ends for the best. However, I think I still felt some disappointment at the end of the book that Becky didn't end up with the Marquis somehow. I'm not sure if I will be able to accept him as the hero of a sequel.

And I'm delighted with this 4-star review on Amazon UK, as well. http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/RDWJ4U6B801O7/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00XWEPZK6

A Long Trail Rolling
by
Lizzi Tremayne

From Amazon: 5 stars… Pony Express as it really was! by Lyn on October 1, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
I love horses and the old west and knew I would enjoy this book – but it was different from most other western historicals I’ve read. Apart from having a tender romance at its core, it is full of intriguing and fascinating facts woven in with the fiction. Lizzi Tremayne obviously knows what she is talking about, her extensive research and knowledge make this almost like reading an exciting documentary – except that the characters are so well drawn the reader can’t help but relate to them and suffer with them on their journey, especially Alex herself. I love the way the horses are also characters in their own right. As a horse lover myself I was pleased that Aleks really cared about the horses she rode, and the description of each horse makes them come to life – especially Scout the black ‘Appy’. I used to know a black Appaloosa stallion, and Scout could have been modeled on him. As might be expected from an author who has the equestrian and veterinary experience and qualifications Liz has, the details about the horses, their tack and treatment of wounds etc., were convincingly written with an air of authenticity that made the story totally believable. This book is full of surprises and even the villain is not quite what he seems. The story kept me guessing all the way. Would Aleksandra and Xavier ever get past their respective hang-ups and learn to trust each other and give in to their growing attraction? Who exactly was Vladimir and what was the secret Aleks was so desperately trying to keep him from finding? These and others are answered at the end and most of the answers I didn’t see coming. The historical details, not just about the Pony Express and the Indian Wars, but Russia and Poland as well, were fascinating, and the novel conveyed the different cultures and nationalities that made up the Old West at that time.
Liz Tremayne writes convincingly, and paints vivid pictures of the characters, terrain and the horses. My only complaint is that the ending came rather suddenly, although that’s not to say the ends weren’t all neatly tied up, they were, but somehow I expected – or wanted – just a bit more. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
